The Workday Guides

Five one-page guides covering the whole Workday lifecycle. Understand it, buy it, deploy it, run it, and then the agents. Each one is a fourteen-panel reference built to be printed, saved, and handed to a steering committee without a preamble. Free, no form, no gate.

These started as answers to the same questions I get asked on every program, in the same order, by different people. What is this thing. How do we buy it without giving away our leverage. How do we get it live. Who runs it afterwards. What happens when the agents arrive. Each guide answers one of those on a single page, and each has the full write-up behind it.

The Workday Field Set

Eight pages. A cover, the five posters in lifecycle order at print quality, one page listing every source behind every number, and one page to reach me. It is the leave-behind I use for a first buyer conversation, and it beats any capability deck I have ever built.

How to use them

Built for two people at once

On the numbers

Every figure on every poster traces to a named published source, listed at the foot of each guide. That includes Workday's annual report and product documentation, McKinsey with the University of Oxford across more than 5,400 large IT projects, Prosci change management benchmarking, and Gartner and MIT on agentic AI outcomes. Several widely circulated ERP statistics were deliberately left off, including the 55% to 75% failure rate attributed to Gartner, which does not appear in any Gartner publication, and the claim that 83% of data migrations fail, which has no primary source at all.
